Iran: Christian Convert Arrested in Tehran


8/18/2011 Iran (Mohabat News)These days we are hearing a lot about the increasing pressure on the Christian community inside Iran. In this connection, the security police have recently arrested a Christian woman in her home east of Tehran and transferred her into an unknown location.
The Iranian Christian News agency, Mohabat News reports that on Saturday July 30, 2011 at 10:30 pm security officersraided Leila Mohammadi's home and began to thoroughly search. They seized anything related to her Christian activities including Christian literature, DVDs as well as her personal computer. According to eye-witnesses, Leila was forced into a police van and taken to an unknown place.
Mohabat News has learned that the next day her family in a private telephone call was informed that she was in a detention center called "Hor". This center belongs to the regular Iranian police force and is located near the Hor square in Tehran.
It has also been reported that another person named "Parviz – G" has been arrested in relation to this case. His house was also searched and officers seized his personal computer. The man was held in custody for 3 days and after signing a disclaimer was temporarily released. Apparently he was arrested because of his wife's involvement with Leila Mohammadi's Christian activities90(Source).
